Women in Business Spotlight: Rowena Yeager

Rowena Yeager, owner of Studio Wish Salon in Twinsburg, Ohio, is an entrepreneur, leader and active member of the beauty industry. With 34 years of experience, she is well-respected among her peers and proudly serves on the Ohio State Board of Cosmetology and the Professional Beauty Association board of advisory councils.
As a business owner, she credits success to establishing relationships and building a support network with others in the industry. She used this guidance and fostered her concept for Studio Wish Salon. Yeager’s vision has always been to “bring salon owners and hairdressers together so that we are viewed as professionals that touch more hearts than hair.”
Leading a talented team of 12, Yeager says her most important client is her team. “I focus on my team so my team can focus on clients,” said Yeager. For Yeager, helping her employees work through any problems they’re facing and helping redirect their focus to allow them to grow personally and professionally is key.
As the global pandemic brought new challenges to business owners everywhere, beauty salons were hit especially hard. Yeager relied on Kinetic to help keep communication open and her clients informed.
“As a salon, we rely heavily on phone calls to get in touch with our clients. Right before the shutdown went into effect, I was in the process of changing my phone system to Kinetic Fiber-Optic. Since we were still transitioning the system when we had to shut down, I immediately panicked,” Yeager said. When she called Kinetic customer support to have her business number transferred to her personal phone, she said the customer service was unmatched. “The help and service went above and beyond. The customer care representative walked me through every single step of the process and even offered to help call my clients for me.”
With the salon’s two month shutdown, Yeager channeled her entrepreneurial spirit and used the challenge to rebrand, refocus and make upgrades to her business model.
The installation of Kinetic Fiber-Optic was an essential step in upgrading her business to better serve her clients. “There are amazing people at Windstream who have really supported businesses before and throughout the pandemic,” said Yeager.  “The Kinetic associates, Trisha Cantwell and Joe Stanley, not only made sure everything was connected and working well, but they helped with any technical challenge and answered any question I had along the way.”
Kinetic Business is proud to support businesses like Studio Wish Salon and business owners like Rowena Yeager.
