The Barbasol Championship—like all PGA Tour events—drives tourism and business development to the local community of Nicholasville, Kentucky. Serving as the tournament's official fiber internet, streaming, and technology solutions partner, Kinetic Business provided hole-in-one connectivity for everyone at the event.
Kinetic’s fast and reliable Internet and Wi-Fi connectivity blanketed the Champions at Keene Trace golf course with four distinct networks. These networks catered to players, members of the media, tournament staff, and fans–both on-site and virtual–ensuring a seamless and undisturbed user experience.
So, how’d we sink our shot?
Kinetic technical teams laid over four miles of fiber and Ethernet cables, linking to 31 different Wireless Access Points (WAPs) across the course. This infrastructure enabled us to push 2.4 TB of total bandwidth across the tournament.
From the entrance gates to the final putt, Wi-Fi coverage remained uninterrupted. Our experts diligently maintained its performance, guaranteeing that it was unaffected by growing demands and resilient to heavy rain and extreme heat, often seen at outdoor events.
